I consider myself to be a unique individual and I am looking for the same. I am a 22 year old black male living in Brooklyn. I am a full time student as well as a working professional (I work as a marketing associate for a major shoe company), so I am sometimes a very busy person. I am very proud of who I am as an individual and even more proud of where I come from, but that doesn't mean I am restricted to liking only certain things or acting a certain way (black folks have to get out of that mindset). I am the type of person who would go to a hip hop concert one night, a jazz concert the next, and then listen to classical music on the way home.

I like to read books, good ones. I care about what is going on in the world and discuss and debate issues with other people. I drink socially but I am not passing out every night. I am an aspiring writer/filmmaker. I play music. I like to travel. I like art, photography and good food. I treat women with the utmost respect, never calling them bitches or hoes or anything like that. I like to learn and discover. I am motivated to achieve success financially, spiritually and intellectually. I am a proud black man.

So, I am looking for someone who is ok with all of that. I DO NOT want to meet someone who is looking for a 'thug' who dresses the same way they did when they were ten years old, whose only current aspiration is to get a T-mobile Sidekick, and frequently quotes 50 cent as if he was Malcolm X. I don't mean to sound snobbish, but I am tired of meeting people who think something is wrong with me because I am not like that.

If you are educated, unique, fun, have a sense of humor, mature, and care about culture I want to hear from you. Creativity, or simply the appreciation of it, is a big plus. Physically speaking I really don't care anymore lol, but would like to exchange pics so I have an idea of who I am talking to. Please be under 30 and at least 18 ( I generally have dated women who were a few years older than me, but to some extent age is just a number.) I have always only dated black women, but I am opened minded and progressive so I would like to hear from any one who thinks we may have something in common no matter what race you are.
