I'm a pretty laid back guy looking to meet new people and expand my horizons. I work as a communications consultant for a public interest/pr firm in Arlington, as a firefighter/EMT for Fairfax County on night and weekend shifts and am applying to evening law school programs for fall 2008. I am very happy with the direction of my life but have not had a lot of time to meet new people.

I love outdoor activities - hiking, biking, kayaking, you name it. Read a lot, from classics to magazines and modern fiction. I've also worked in pro hockey and politics, and remain passionate about both. There isn't much I'm not up for, honestly. I'm very close to my family and travel fairly often.

I am looking for someone who is beautiful, funny, smart, ambitious and not afraid to say what she's thinking. That last part's important, as mind reading attempts have so far been unsuccessful. I spend a lot of time at the gym, so it's important to me that whoever I am with also enjoys an active lifestyle. Can you laugh at yourself? Laugh with me when I make a fool of myself? Good, cause it's been known to happen!
