I'm optimistic, confident and can do the ny times crossword puzzle and play the guitar, but not at the same time. I've been told that I'm a lot more handsome than I appear (which is a little like saying I sing a lot better than I sound - are you with me?). I'm looking for someone who shares my vision of what a wonderful life we can have together. I love to hear live music (jazz) and other types when I can. I try and keep up with what's going on in the world and when I can do volunteer work. I gravitate to those with a good sense of humor while I try to keep mine. I listen to npr (kpcc) and kjzz. I like to attend a ball game now and then and am an avid tennis player. I took early retirement in 2004 with no regrets. People say I'm a very good listener. The important things are in life's simple pleasures. The peck on the cheek off to work and the big hugs that awaits at the end of the day. My best friend, like me, will never take the good things we have for granted. She will have someone at her side when things aren't going so well and no matter what the problem, we'll get through it together.
