This is the part of these things that I truly despise, the dreaded part where I have to talk about myself. I can’t stand talking about myself because it ends up sounding so arrogant and pretentious, but this is a situation that sort of demands it so you can learn a little bit about me and decide if you want to learn any more. To start off, I’m a middle school teacher and I teach Special Education grades 6-8. I work with some fabulous kids who’s minds have been damaged, but their hearts remain perfect. This is my fifth year on the job and I’m still learning, but I love that. I feel like if you stop learning, you’re not really living . . . You’re just existing. While my job is in Special Education, oddly enough it’s not what I started out in. I got my first Masters from U of L in English (Literature). I’ve always been a reader and writer and this was just the natural place for me to go. I absolutely loved it. I felt so at home. I loved to sit and study poets and writers from centuries ago, trying to write something that could compare with their work. This is where I realized just how deep my love for the arts was. Later in life (at around age 27) I was offered a job doing something extremely new, working in public education, but not only in public education, but in special education. The condition was that I would have to go back and get my second Masters. I didn’t even hesitate though because I firmly believe life is all about experiences and this was another chance to try something unlike anything I had ever done. Well, it’s five years later and I’m still kicking and just got tenure last year through a school district. I love my job and I still have that love for reading and writing.


A little bit about myself…well, the most important thing is that I’m a people person. I would much rather be around people than anything else. Socially, I’m comfortable doing just about anything. I love to go to the movies, to special events, to experiment with styles of restaurants or to stay in, watch a movie, prank phone call people or wrestle. The way I figure it is that every day we’re here is one day we could not be so let’s freaking enjoy it. I recognize that as one gets older, life attempts to suck all of the fun and spontaneity out of one’s life and I’m determined to fight against that. Life is what we make it and if that calls for acting like a jackass all in the name of having a good time, then I’ll do it gladly because I’d rather be on my deathbed mulling over a bunch of insane memories than wondering why I had never allowed myself to “live”. Physically, I’m average except for my height which is 5’5 so if you just can’t find it in yourself to be attracted to short guys, then I won’t be your guy. But we could still be friends. It’s cool.

The reason I’m writing on this site is because as I’ve gotten older, I’ve watched all of my friends do the normal life thing and start families. I haven’t found the right person and so I’m the only single guy remaining. That can lead to a lot of boredom. I’m past meeting girls in bars. I want to meet a mature, loveable and affectionate, fun-loving girl that would love to make a new friend. I know this will sound corny, but remember when you were younger and always had someone to call at night. Well, if you miss that, I want to be your person to call. I miss connecting with people and it’s something I do extremely good at. I will always treat you kind; I can’t stand rudeness or incivility. And I can guarantee that we will always have a fun time at whatever we are doing. Life is all about those moments that we don’t take. One moment can change your life. This could be one of those moments. I could wind up being one of your best friends or the person you grow old with. We’ll never know unless you and I agree to give it a shot together. Hold my hand and let’s see what we can make of this. Friendship . . . Best Friend . . . More? I’d love to have you as one of these. As for which one, we won’t know until we give it a chance.

I’m really good at being extremely emotionally intelligent. I have a huge heart which means I always go the extra mile for someone. There will never be a moment I won't be able to listen or talk to you because if it's important to you, it's important to me. The only way you'll ever trust me is if I prove myself and I have no doubt I can do that. I've done it time and time again. I just firmly believe that the main reason we are put here is to help each other and I believe God put me here to help people who have a hard time with life. I've been through a lot of horrible **** in my life and so I've learned the life lesson that you can survive anything if you put your mind to it and take on that warrior mentality. If I'm in your life, I'll never let you forget that and I'll never stop holding your hand.
