My name's Josiah, and I'm here to meet someone totally wonderful. I'm hoping to find a girl with similar interests, ideas, and values, who enjoys good conversation and is fun-loving as well as deep. I'm seeking friendship, first and foremost. Someone with whom I can really talk, and have a great time doing things with as we get to know each other. My ultimate goal is to find that special one with whom I can share an intense, mutual love. A true soulmate. But I'm a firm believer in the idea that the best foundation for great romance to grow from is great friendship. I'm a 30-year-old guy with the heart of a child and a wisdom beyond my years. People tell me that I look and act quite a bit younger than my age, and I'm happy to retain a good deal of the boyish open-mindedness, wide-eyed wonder, natural exhuberance, and capacity for un-self-conscious joy and amusement that are such beautiful characteristics of childhood. At the same time, I've always been considered one of the most intelligent, insightful, sensitive, and spiritually grounded young men that my friends and acquaintances know.

I'm a great listener, and I've always been someone that people feel comfortable sharing their worries with, and seeking solid advice from. I genuinely love and care for people, even perfect strangers, and helping others has always been a major priority and motivation for me. I'm extremely forgiving, and accept the quirks and mistakes of the people I know without judgment or condemnation. I like to see people as they are, as they know themselves to be, and to always give them the benefit of the doubt.

One of the most well-known and appreciated aspects of who I am is my sense of humor. Ever since I was a kid, I was the one making everyone laugh all the time. I absolutely love laughter, and I've been blessed with a sharp sense of irony and a quick wit. If you like being around someone who will make you laugh, hard and often, then you'll have fun with me.

I'm also a deep thinker, and my favorite pastime is interesting conversation. I like to talk about anything and everything, but my favorite subject of dialogue is anything to do with philosophical or spiritual matters. I've studied a great many ways of thinking, religions, traditions, philosophies and paths, and find profound truth in all of them. I'm a natural philosopher, a "lover of wisdom" as it originally meant. Just about the most wonderfully enjoyable day I can imagine would be hiking in the scenic, peaceful mountains somewhere and just talking about the nature of life, purpose, and love with a smart, free-thinking girl as we ascend a quiet, rugged trail together.

Since a very young age, I've been a true romantic. Passionate in my capacity to feel and express love, intense in my appreciation of others (especially the fairer gender), always seeing life through the eyes of a poet. Nothing is mundane to me, it's all magical and glorious and ripe for the tasting. Music and art touch me deeply, and physical affection and intimacy with a beloved woman is a mystical experience like no other. I believe in true love, in the oneness attainable by lovers spiritually entwined in a mutual dance of fiery hearts.

Finally, I'm a man of principles. I believe in honesty, integrity, respect, and compassion. I'm committed to non-violence, and would never dream of hurting someone purposefully. It is always my goal when dealing with anyone to leave a positive impact on their day/mind/life, rather than a negative one. I rarely, if ever, get angry, and I am not prone to arguing or verbally abusing anyone. I absolutely will not lie, steal, or cheat, even when to do so would make my life easier. I believe that our thoughts, words, and actions are creative in this world, and that we get back what we put forth. I love the world, and all living beings in it - why would I choose to sow hurtfulness amidst such perfection?




I am not without flaws, challenges, areas of weakness to contend with. But I am actively working to better myself, to improve my capacity to contribute good things to the lives of my loved ones. Despite my apparent imperfections, however, I know who I am, and what gifts I have to offer. I have been waiting a long time to find my one, and have such a flood of love and truth and joy to pour out into her waiting hands. I know this from my core: when I find her, I will make her more joyously, deleriously happy and fulfilled than any boy who has ever held her heart before.
