Hmm... How does one make themselves stand out while accenting all their good qualities, informing about their bad ones and just generally painting a picture of themselves with so few words? I don't know. I shall try however.
I've never liked the word 'normal'. as what is 'normal'? I under current societal standards I am most certainly an outcast, and that's fine by me. (note of course that I don't mean I'm into necrophilia of really wacky stuff, just generally I don't 'fit in' and am not a joiner.) I am a geek first of all and a sometimes long winded one at that. (in case you couldn't tell) I'm very shy at first, I like to observe and gage a situation before running my mouth off and sounding like a fool. It takes me a bit to open up.
I enjoy entertaining people. I like nothing better to make somebody laugh.
Trust and honor are majorly important things to me. I live my life by my own code. I try my hardest to be the most trustworthy and honorable person I can be, so I would hope for the same in return. I know this sounds like a line or something, but I've actually been told I'm TOO honest... That one baffled me to no end... Thus why occasionally call myself a knight. (besides the fact that I would NOT mind one bit owning a full garniture of armor...) I'm a bit reluctant to open up but once I know I can trust ya, I totally slog through the fires of hell for ya. (Granted, this also means that I will submit those who cross me or stab me in the back to said fires of hell)
I enjoy arguing theology and politics. I have some very set beliefs, but I figure most people do so, I'm cool with others having their own opinions. I'd totally be willing to argue with 'em over it, but ultimately, what they chose to believe is their business. I sometimes jokingly refer to myself as a misanthropic philanthropist. I hate alot of what people do and what life has become, but I'd defend to my last breath their right to live their lives as they chose. The human condition is definitely one of those favored points of ponderance. So I guess I should add Philosophy to that list.
In case you haven't gotten the idea yet, I do often go off into tangents and rants about various things. So fair warning I guess. (which falls under the line of "long winded" so I apparently like to say some things multiple times.) I use odd words by choice and have no problems cussing randomly which I suppose might make me sound like a crude dolt. But ya know, hey, I have no problem upsetting judgmental people. Fair warning. :P
I suppose I should note that while I do enjoy Star Trek (Next Gen at least) that is not exactly what I mean by geek. (nor do I bite the heads off of chickens) I mean I have passions in things that 'normal' people would find worthless. As a geek, my favorite thing in the world is to sit down and watch a movie or play a videogame. Then discuss all the fine details and such. I enjoy trivia and info about all these pointless little distractions. I couldn't even begin to go into details here. Needless to say it would probably be terrifying to someone never exposed to the geek mind before.
Really, I'm just complex and a bit simple too. I have no clue how to distill it here... *shrug* Clearly I'm not so hot at the selling myself thing.
