I am known to family and friends to be loyal, generous, kind, strong, masculine, friendly, positive and truthful. Grew up in the Midwest and appreciate the values I learned from my environment. Learned to work hard and yet have fun. Grew up in a large Polish family where perseverance and resilience were the family values. Taught to be active in church, school and community – that you had to give something back, and carry on that tradition today.

I am an entrepreneur - founded my own consulting / advertising agency three years ago, helping start and market life science and high technology companies and products. Prior to that I worked in a variety of startup companies in high technology, consumer products and the internet, also worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 13 years.

But I am much more than a work resume. I have been a college basketball coach - and used those talents to run a camp for kids on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation a few years ago. I am also on the Board of a boy’s prep school in Watts, giving something back to the urban communities from which I recruited some time ago. I have also worked for a pro football team once upon a time – go Patriots - and still attempt to retain some fitness, although it has been some time since I ran the New York Marathon on its coldest day in history.

I enjoy the company of friends and family at a good party, but can also enjoy the occasional solitude of an anonymous day in a good dive bar - near my home in Altadena or down at the beach. Also enjoy live music or a great juke box, with my favorites being R&B or blues, but most anything can work as long as it's good. Then again, drinks and dinner at classic places like Musso and Frank or Taylor's can hit the mark just as well. Equally comfortable dressed up for a banquet in my tux.

Enjoy travel to sophisticated places like London, Dublin, Paris, Prague and New York (Krakow Poland is now on my list); enjoy a fun environment like Key West or New Orleans for the live music, but then again, love a great long drive through the Beartooth Mountains of Montana, the Black Hills of the Dakotas, or the California Coast. Have visited all 50 states except Maine and South Carolina and plan to see them soon.

Returning to the dating scene after a long hiatus – so a good casual date to start sounds good to me right now. I enjoy the company of women. I am a good conversationalist, attentive, affectionate, like to dance and known to be a very good listener.

What would I find appealing in my date – be smart, interesting, fun, kind, generous of spirit, comfortable at a fancy event, look great in a cocktail dress or jeans and t-shirt, then again warm pajamas on a cold and rainy night could be just as great. Enjoys a cup of coffee in the morning a drink at sunset. She is aware of the world around her – staying informed of what’s in the news or simply what’s new. It would be great to find someone that is fun to be with, open to new things, with her own ideas for a scintillating adventure.

So, for now, I am open to a cocktail or a cup of coffee to get acquainted. Let’s just see if we connect and see where things go naturally.
