Hi there. My name is Derek. I'm currently living in Palmdale CA. I enjoy conversing about whatever is on the minds of those around me. I also enjoy deep meaningful conversations or cuddling in silence. Whatever fits the mood I suppose. People tell me I'm eccentric but I prefer to say I'm a bit of old fationed with a weird streak xD. I also enjoy being around art and creativity. I myself have a taste for both poetry and prose, along with doing photo manipulation and digital painting.

I'm a huge film buff and I really enjoy independent films. Some of my favorite movies include; Magnolia, A Clockwork Orange, Sleepy Hollow, Blue Velvet, Fear and Loathing In Los Vegas, The Departed, Snatch, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Station Agent, Gangs of New York, and many many others. I'm also really into music. My two favorite bands are Pink Floyd (no I don't smoke so don't ask) and Blue October.

Also a bit of a computer geek, but I won't bore you with the details.
