First off - I'm pretty shy when I first meet someone. I'm usually trying to get a feel for a person or situation before I can open up. Once I'm comfortable, the shyness is pretty much gone.

I moved here from Connecticut about 5 1/2 years ago. I miss home most days, but really do like it here.

I love watching sports!! College basketball (GO UCONN!!), MLB and NFL are my favorites, but I do enjoy most sports. A Sunday afternoon on the couch watching some football is a good day for me.

If there is no football on a Sunday, you'll probably find me in the kitchen trying a new recipe. I love to cook and really like having people to cook for!

My other interests are about the same as most people, I guess. Movies, music, internet, TV, etc. I also have a close knit family and a couple of very close friends that I like to keep in touch and spend time with.

I'm looking for someone who doesn't "need" a person to make them happy. I'm very independent and am pretty happy with my life. I'd like to meet someone who I can spend time with and see where it goes from there.
