I'm a transplant to the DC area, as are so many of us, but I love living here. I love experiencing all the new and different events and activities that go on around here. I work in a computer related field, but I don't consider that part of my life so important. It pays the bills and it's never dull at my workplace. Some of my interests include music (there's a lot of good music in this area too), travel, food (trying new cuisines, experimenting with cooking, dining with friends), and good TV. I really like trying new activities and checking out happenings in the area. Maybe it's because I didn't grow up here, but I'm itching to explore the whole region. So far I've been out to some of the wine country, but I haven't yet gone on any hikes or driven through the mountains.

Not so big on frequent clubbing or bar hopping, but I do enjoy both occasionally. The one thing I don't really care for is team sports - football and baseball especially. I'm ok with basketball and soccer, but they're not on the top of my to-play or to-watch list. Extreme sports are great fun to watch though.

I kind of hate these blurbs because they make me sound boring, which I am not. But it's really hard to sit here and describe myself.

The reason I have a profile here is maybe I'll meet some good people. I don't really like the idea of online dating, but any of these new ways to socialize online bring about the possibility of meeting a lot of people one wouldn't meet otherwise. Oh, and this site is free :-) All of the guys I went on at least one date with from another site (my foray into the world of online dating) all turned out to be uninteresting. They were very one-dimensional and had interests concentrated in a single area (or several subcategories of a broader topic). Maybe it's the way I worded my profile, or maybe it's the kind of person who is attracted to online dating sites, I don't know. But I do hope to meet people who have more than one interest and, as my "headline" say, aren't boring.

Oh, and this doesn't really fit in anywhere else, but I'm not interested in smokers. The smell of cigarette smoke is absolutely disgusting and it's one of the biggest turn offs possible.
